ThrottleForge was born out of a simple frustration: there were places to “drive” go-karts in Auckland, but none that captured the heart of real racing. We didn’t want arcade-style steering or over-coached group rides. We wanted throttle response, timed sectors, kart-on-kart battles, and a reason to come back. So in 2012, we turned that frustration into our first circuit — and we haven’t slowed down since. Today, ThrottleForge stands as one of New Zealand’s most advanced karting facilities. We’ve rebuilt our tracks, upgraded every engine, and built custom timing systems that deliver split-second precision. Every helmet, suit, and barrier has been chosen for both safety and performance. And every customer — whether it’s your first lap or your five-hundredth — is treated like a racer. Because when you’re out on our track, that’s exactly what you are.
More Than a Track — A Local Legacy of Speed ThrottleForge isn’t just a business — it’s a motorsport community. We’ve helped kids join their first junior leagues. We’ve watched best friends argue over sector splits. We’ve seen corporate teams become race teams. And when COVID hit, we rebuilt our business model from the ground up — to stay open, to stay safe, and to keep people driving. We’re proud to be 100% Kiwi-owned, operated by locals who grew up karting on gravel and dreaming of podiums. We employ full-time technicians, race coaches, and event coordinators. We offer mentorship to young drivers. And we partner with local schools, motorsport clubs, and charities to keep that next generation of racers dreaming big — and driving fast.
